We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and lead mechanical engineering coordination activities for Oil & Gas EPC and maintenance projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating design activities, reviewing and approving engineering deliverables, and ensuring effective coordination between engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate mechanical engineering and design activities for EPC and maintenance projects.
Coordinate design reviews and engineering approvals with clients, consultants, contractors, and other disciplines.
Review mechanical systems, including piping, static equipment, rotating equipment, HVAC, and firefighting systems.
Review and coordinate engineering deliverables, including:
Equipment and material datasheets
Mechanical specifications
P&IDs
Material requisitions
Equipment specifications
Detailed engineering drawings and documents
Technical bid evaluations
Vendor documents
Coordinate with procurement, construction, commissioning, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Ensure engineering deliverables comply with project specifications, applicable codes and standards, and client requirements.
Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, constructability reviews, and project progress meetings.
Provide technical support during procurement, construction, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces with process, piping, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and other engineering disciplines.
Identify and resolve technical issues, design conflicts, and engineering coordination challenges.
Ensure all engineering activities comply with HSE procedures and Oil & Gas industry requirements.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
UPDA/MME registration or eligibility for registration is required.
7–10 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas EPC and maintenance projects.
Proven experience in mechanical design coordination, engineering review, and approval.
Strong knowledge of piping, static equipment, rotating equipment, HVAC, and firefighting systems.
Experience reviewing engineering deliverables and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.
Good knowledge of applicable Oil & Gas codes, standards, specifications, and HSE requirements.
Experience working with EPC contractors, consultants, clients, vendors, and site teams.
Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple engineering activities and work effectively under project deadlines.
Willingness to work in both office and site environments as required.
