Project Engineer - LPG and NG services

About the Job
We are looking for a Project Engineer – LPG & NG Services to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background and hands-on experience in the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of LPG and NG systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of aboveground and underground LPG tanks.
  • Coordinate installation and maintenance activities for LPG vaporizers, LPG pumps, pressure regulators, LPG-air mixers, and gas detection systems.
  • Conduct site measurements and verify site conditions against approved drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with client engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare and review Method Statements (MOS), Risk Assessments (RA), Requests for Inspection (RFIs), BOQs, and project estimations.
  • Read, interpret, and implement engineering drawings, technical documents, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
  • Ensure proper implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) requirements.
  • Coordinate and support inspection, testing, and commissioning activities for LPG systems.
  • Perform and document inspection activities including visual inspection, dimensional checks, and pneumatic pressure testing.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance, and rectification of LPG and NG system installations.
  • Maintain proper project documentation, inspection records, and test reports.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in LPG/NG installation, testing, commissioning, or maintenance.
  • Practical knowledge of LPG storage tanks and associated equipment.
  • Experience with LPG vaporizers, pumps, pressure regulators, LPG-air mixers, and gas detection systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documents.
  • Knowledge of MOS, RA, RFI, BOQ, estimation, and PTW procedures.
  • Good understanding of LPG system inspection and testing requirements.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, coworkers, and site teams.
  • Willingness to work on project sites and manage site activities as required.
